What is VoIP?

Answered By Editor

VoIP means Voice over Internet Protocol. It is somewhat similar to the regular landline phone but instead of carrying voice as analog signals, it first converts the voice to digital data and transmits it over the Internet. This will allow for a clearer and crisper audio conversation than traditional landline phones.

And, since Internet is available for everyone, long-distance or international calls using VoIP is much cheaper than the traditional landline phones.
