VoIP Feedback: This is a very complex and deep question. There are many ways to implement VoIP. IP telephony is the same as VoIP really but this is what is used in the business world when using equipment like IP-PBX systems or Cisco IP managment systems using IP phones or softphones (software loaded on to PC that acts as a phone through an external headset/mic usually connected by USB).
If you want a simple and fairly cheap VoIP deployment for both offices and already have internet services then Vonage might be an option or even Digital Phone from Time Warner possibly.
Going full blown business like IP Telephony is expensive initially but pays off in the long run for large businesses that make a lot of calls such as customer service centers.
