Can you answer Dannielle’s question about VoIP?:
I’m looking for some pros and cons related to comcast’s digital phone service which for those of you who don’t know it is broadband. What would be some advantages of getting it? Why would I want to avoid it (besides customer service). Thanks =)

VoIP Feedback: You shouldn’t comcrap is awful. VoIP is not ready for mainstream, you still need a real phone number.
VoIP Feedback: I avoid Comcast like the plague because everything I’ve ever had from them has never worked right and customer service was utterly useless. The TV would pixelate with most channels and not receive 150 of the channels that I paid for. The Internet was always slow no matter what computer I used and went out here and there so I never even bothered with the phone.
I’m happy with Vonage. It’s cheaper and it always works.
VoIP Feedback: don’t a land line is better. and if you use cable for online your speed will bogg down at peak times of the day dsl is better.
VoIP Feedback: The downside is the monthly bill, get a magicJack and eliminate the bill your still using a VOIP service but its portable and you dont have a monthly bill.
You buy the plugin device for $39.99 and then you pay $19 the following year not month. I bought it the sound quality is normal like your analog phone because you plug your regular phone into it.
you can buy one at IC PC Parts and if you need a phone to travel with get one of the little cell phone look alikes to plug into it while your traveling.
