Do i need a VOIP phone service or can i use a simple service like att?
How can i make the phones conect to the router n the router can work with trixbox to make calls?

VoIP Feedback: Hi,
Its a bit vague for what you are looking for, but I am assuming that you have softphones or IP phones hooked up on this LAN network. When you say “through a router” do you mean you are making calls within a LAN or is it going out to the internet?
If it is a LAN scenario, the PC you are running Trixbox on becomes the main server. Any IP phones or softphones need to be pointed at the IP of that PC to pull their config and to register via SIP.
Also you have to have made sure to have created the extension in the PBX that you want the phones to use.
Please provide more detail if you need more help, or email me.
